Norwich City head coach Philippe Clement has left Josh Sargent out of the squad for the friendly against Wrexham, with the USMNT striker training away from the first team as the manager “enforces discipline”.
Sargent will not feature against Wrexham and has instead been working with Norwich’s second group. Clement made it clear the decision is deliberate and tied to standards around the squad.
“He knows why he is training with the second team,” Clement said, making the club’s position clear as Norwich continue their pre-season schedule.
The match against Wrexham will go ahead without Sargent, as Norwich prepare for the new campaign while Clement sets expectations early in his tenure.
