Moroccan authorities have made several arrests following incidents around the Africa Cup final in Rabat, after disorder broke out in the capital during and after the match.
According to the public prosecutor’s office, suspects were detained over violence and damage in different locations. The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests have not been ruled out.
Officials said the trouble included clashes and vandalism, prompting a strong response from security services. The authorities are working to identify everyone involved and to bring those responsible before the courts.
The prosecutor’s office confirmed that legal action has been started against the people who were arrested, as the case continues to develop.
