Morocco wins u17 north africa cup with perfect record

Morocco’s Under-17 national team has been crowned champion of the North African Football Union (UNAF) tournament after concluding their campaign with a flawless record. The young Atlas Lions secured the title by defeating their Algerian counterparts with a score of 2-0 in the final match held in Tunisia.

The Moroccan squad dominated the competition from start to finish, winning all three of their matches. They opened their campaign with a commanding 4-0 victory over Libya, before edging out the host nation, Tunisia, 1-0 in their second fixture. This set the stage for the decisive clash against Algeria.

The final, played on Tuesday, saw Morocco take control early. Midfielder Ayman Ouchrif broke the deadlock, giving Morocco a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. After the break, the team solidified their advantage with a second goal from Zakaria Ouazane, sealing a 2-0 win and the championship trophy.

This victory grants the Moroccan U-17 team the regional title and completes an ideal preparatory phase. The team is now set to travel to Egypt to participate in the 2024 Arab Cup U-17, where they will face Saudi Arabia in their opening match on April 20th.
