PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ismael Saibari has responded with a mixture of shock and pride after his market value was announced as €75 million during a recent television segment.
The 22-year-old was a guest on the Dutch program ‘Rondo’ on Ziggo Sport when presenter Wytse van der Goot revealed the figure, citing data from the CIES Football Observatory. A video clip shows Saibari’s immediate, wide-eyed reaction to the news.
“Seventy-five million? That’s a lot of money,” Saibari said with a laugh. “I don’t know what to say. It’s an honor, of course, but I try not to focus on it. I just want to keep playing and developing.”
The valuation comes after a breakout season for the Moroccan international. Saibari was a key figure in PSV’s dominant Eredivisie title win, which saw the club lose zero matches. His performances have naturally sparked significant transfer speculation.
Despite the lofty price tag now associated with his name, Saibari remains grounded. He emphasized that his primary focus is on his current club and continuing his growth as a player under manager Peter Bosz.
“I am very happy at PSV,” Saibari stated. “We had an incredible season and I am already looking forward to the next one. My head is here. Everything else is for the future.”
The €75 million valuation is a testament to Saibari’s rapid rise and his importance to the Dutch champions, setting the stage for what promises to be a closely watched summer regarding his future.
