Regragui says Bono is world’s best keeper, Morocco deserve final

Morocco coach Walid Regragui praised Yassine Bounou after the Atlas Lions reached the final, saying the goalkeeper is “the best in the world”.

Speaking after the win that sent Morocco into the showpiece, Regragui insisted his team fully earned their place and that the country deserved this moment after a long wait.

“Bono is the best goalkeeper in the world,” Regragui said, highlighting the decisive role the Sevilla keeper played again at a crucial time.

The national team coach also stressed that Morocco’s run is no accident, pointing to the group’s spirit, discipline and hard work in every match.

Regragui added that reaching the final is a reward for Moroccan supporters and for a generation that kept pushing, saying Morocco “deserve the final after 22 years of waiting”.

The coach called on his players to stay focused and finish the job, underlining that the goal now is to lift the trophy and crown the campaign with a title.
