Ricardo Pepi has been urged to consider a move to Fulham, with former USMNT international and Premier League striker Brian McBride making the case for the PSV forward to test himself in England.
Pepi, 21, has continued to build his reputation in Europe since leaving the United States, and his form at PSV has kept him on the radar as the summer transfer window approaches.
McBride believes Fulham would be a strong fit for the American striker, pointing to the club’s stable situation in the Premier League and the opportunity for Pepi to take an important next step in his development.
“I think Fulham would be a perfect spot for Ricardo Pepi,” McBride said. “The style of play and the environment there would suit him, and the Premier League is the best league in the world. If he wants to test himself at the highest level, it’s a great opportunity.”
The former Fulham captain also stressed that Pepi’s progress should remain the priority, and that the right move is about finding minutes and a clear role rather than simply making a switch for the sake of it.
McBride added that the Premier League demands more from forwards week to week, and that a club like Fulham could provide the platform Pepi needs to keep improving while gaining experience against top-level opposition.
Pepi has already shown he can handle the step up in Europe, and the message from McBride is that a move to Craven Cottage could offer the right blend of challenge and opportunity as he looks to push on in his career.
