Salibi hits Pharaohs player and Trezeguet suffers serious injury

Al Ahly midfielder Mohamed “Afsha” Magdy has been hit by a knee injury after a heavy collision with Lebanon international Hassan Salibi, while Egypt winger Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet” suffered a strong injury during the same match.

The incidents came in Al Ahly’s friendly against Al Akhdoud as part of the club’s preparations, with the game producing worrying moments for coach Marcel Koller and the medical staff.

Afsha went down after contact with Salibi and needed treatment before he was eventually taken off, as the impact left him in clear pain.

Later, Trezeguet also picked up a serious knock, forcing him to stop and receive medical attention on the pitch, before he was substituted as a precaution.

Both players will undergo further checks to determine the extent of their injuries, with Al Ahly set to monitor their condition closely in the coming days.
