In a segment shared in a video, the broadcaster dismissed what has been circulating in recent days, saying there is no official decision or legal basis that would lead to Senegal losing the continental crown.
The report stressed that the stories being promoted are not supported by any confirmed statement from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), and that the discussions online do not change the reality of Senegal’s triumph.
Senegal won the AFCON after beating Egypt on penalties in the final, and the TV report made it clear that this result stands, with no indication of any move to overturn it.
The broadcaster urged fans to rely on verified information and official announcements, rather than rumours spreading on social media.
