Wydad Casablanca remain top of the Botola Pro D1 “Inwi” standings, but the chasing pack are closing in, with Maghreb de Fès now very much in the hunt after another important weekend in the Moroccan top flight.

While Wydad held on to first place, results elsewhere tightened the race at the summit and kept the pressure on the leaders. Maghreb de Fès took advantage to stay in ambush behind the front-runners, confirming their strong form and keeping their ambitions alive as the season moves into a decisive phase.

The latest round again underlined how small the margins are in the title battle, with every point proving costly and the top positions changing hands from one matchday to the next depending on the outcomes.

With the championship entering a key stretch, Wydad still have their destiny in their own hands, but their rivals, led by a determined Maghreb de Fès, are ensuring there will be no room for error in the weeks ahead.
