The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed the key details for the next edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, confirming both the host country and the tournament schedule.

CAF announced that Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda will host the Africa Cup of Nations 2027, staging the competition as a joint bid across the three East African nations.

It has also been confirmed that the tournament will be played in June and July 2027, setting the dates for what is expected to be one of the biggest sporting events on the continent.

The decision means AFCON will return to East Africa with a tri-nation format, with matches to be shared between Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda as they prepare to welcome Africa’s top national teams in the summer of 2027.
