The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has opened an investigation into the incidents that occurred during the final between Morocco and Senegal.
CAF confirmed that the probe will focus on what happened around the match, after reports of disorder and tense scenes linked to the decisive game.
The governing body said the investigation has been launched in line with its disciplinary regulations, stressing that all reports and available evidence will be reviewed before any decision is taken.
No further details have been officially released at this stage, while CAF is expected to announce its conclusions once the process is completed.
