Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique has defended Goncalo Ramos after criticism of the striker’s finishing, insisting his job is not only about scoring goals.

Speaking to the media, Enrique said: “Ramos is not a killer.” He explained that judging a forward only by goals can be misleading, adding that the Portuguese attacker contributes in other ways within PSG’s system.

The coach stressed that a striker’s value also comes from movement, pressing and helping the team build attacks, not just converting chances in front of goal.

Enrique’s comments come as Ramos continues to face scrutiny over missed opportunities, with the PSG manager making it clear he is backing his player and wants the focus to stay on the team’s overall performance rather than one aspect of the striker’s game.
