Arsenal have been handed a major boost ahead of the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City after the EFL confirmed a decision involving Marc Guehi.
The Crystal Palace captain will not be available for the showpiece at Wembley, with the league’s ruling meaning he cannot feature in the final.
It is a significant development for Arsenal as they prepare to face Pep Guardiola’s side, with City losing an important defensive option for one of the biggest domestic games of the season.
The EFL’s decision removes any uncertainty over Guehi’s status for the final and leaves Manchester City to plan without him as Arsenal look to take advantage on the day.
