Hafidh Drági: Morocco’s team unconvincing without key player

Morocco players celebrate a goal during the Africa Cup of Nations match, with fans in vibrant red in the background.

Algerian commentator Hafidh Drági has said that the Morocco national team have not been convincing in their recent outings, stressing that their level dropped with the absence of what he described as the side’s “beating heart”.

Speaking about Morocco’s performances, Drági pointed to a clear decline in the team’s rhythm and balance, linking it to the absence of a key player who normally gives the side its drive and control in the middle of the pitch.

Drági believes the issue has shown in Morocco’s overall play, with the team struggling at times to impose their style and create the same impact as when that player is available.

He added that Morocco remain a strong team with quality individuals, but insisted their displays have not matched expectations recently.

It was revealed in the report that Drági’s criticism focused on how Morocco were affected without their “beating heart”, a reference to the importance of that missing central figure in shaping the team’s performance.
