Lamine Yamal snubs guard of honour for Real Madrid

Lamine Yamal celebrates with a trophy, wearing sunglasses and a Barcelona kit, showcasing his joy after a recent victory.

Lamine Yamal was caught on camera appearing to snub a guard of honour for Real Madrid’s players after Barcelona’s victory in the Spanish Supercopa final.

Barcelona beat their biggest rivals in El Clasico to lift the trophy, but the post-match scenes quickly drew attention online. As Florentino Perez and Joan Laporta prepared to present the medals, the two squads formed up in their lines, with Madrid’s players waiting to applaud the winners.

In the footage, Yamal steps away from the line at the moment Barcelona’s players move forward, leaving him out of position as Real Madrid’s stars look on. The teenager then walks across to collect his medal, while those around him continue with the ceremony.

Moments later, Kylian Mbappe appeared to respond in kind when it was Real Madrid’s turn to receive their medals. With the Madrid players filing past, Mbappe was shown not joining the applause as Barcelona’s line stayed in place.

The clip has spread widely since the final, with supporters from both sides debating the behaviour of the two players during the traditional guard of honour that followed Barcelona’s Supercopa triumph over Real Madrid.
