The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has opened an investigation linked to Morocco’s recent international window, and the file has also included national team players Achraf Hakimi and Ismael Saibari.
The reason their names appeared is not related to the match result itself, but to incidents connected to the post-match scenes and what happened around the final whistle, according to the details being reviewed by CAF.
CAF is looking into reports and footage circulated after the game, as part of its disciplinary procedures. The investigation is examining the behaviour of several individuals and the events that followed the end of the match, which is why Hakimi and Saibari were mentioned among those included in the file.
At this stage, no decision or sanction has been announced, with the case still in the investigation phase before CAF’s disciplinary bodies determine the next steps.
